Overview
The challenge, in context.
Built with Tauri, this desktop restaurant management system is lightweight, secure, and fast — designed for restaurants that need reliable operations without depending on internet availability.
It combines POS, kitchen order management, table management, billing, inventory, staff management, and daily reports into one offline-first application, with thermal printer support for real-world service floors.
Rust powers the core engine while React runs the interface and SQLite keeps data local — so the system stays quick and dependable from opening bell to closing report.
Outcome
A lightweight, offline-first desktop POS that keeps restaurants running smoothly — from order entry to thermal-printed tickets — even without an internet connection.
